This cool summer style can be done on short, medium, long, or extra long hair. The texture can be thick, coarse, thin, curly, straight, wavy, and even kinky as long as you smooth the hair out.
Preparing For Curls
Here you finally have a fun style that can be done the day of, night before, or even a few days before your outing. Being a beautician, I honestly like doing certain styles the day before. This allows the hair to get a little dirty and easier to work with. The styling results come out much better. Make sure when you wash your hair, rinse with cold water and also condition. You will also need a styling product.
Products And Tools Needed
Ok, to get a soft bouncy and dropped curl you will need a good styling mousse or gel, rattail comb, rollers, (if don't have any opt for the biggest barrel curling iron), light hairspray, and clips if doing the roller set. On with the styling.
Styling And Fixing
Place your styling product into the hair. Make sure you use a sufficient amount. Using your comb section the hair. If using the rollers, place the hair onto a roller, roll up, and secure with hair clip. To make sure you don't get those nasty crunchy ends wrap a perm end paper onto the hair first then wrap it around the roller. Repeat this process until the whole head is rolled. Spritz with water, and then lightly spray with hairspray. Tip: DO NOT wrap the rollers tight at the root area. When rolling the hair up, once you get to the root area droop it down and clip.
Allow the hair to dry naturally or under a dryer. Once dried remove all clips first and then the rollers. Give the hair a good shake, run your fingers through it, and go about your every day business for like 15-20 minutes. By doing this it will allow the hair to relax somewhat and make the curls droop down more.
Using The Curling Iron
This process is almost exactly the same as mentioned above, except when you get the curling iron about 1-3 inches towards the scalp stop right there and release the iron. Repeat until done and follow the rest of the directions as mentioned above.
The day after you have fixed your style, just spritz the hair lightly with some water and a scrunch spray to give the hair perkiness again. A great solution is seas salt.
